RECAP: Pretty Little Liars is a show on ABC family about four girls that try to crack the case of how their best friend disappeared. Aside from their detective lives, the girls have their own personal lives. I am going to talk about Emily. Early in the season, Emily discovered that she likes girls after meeting an incredible girl, Maya. It took Emily forever to finally come out to her parents. When she told her parents, she decided to invite Maya over for dinner with her parents. Emily's mother does not like the idea of her being a lesbian. Her mother plots against Emily to get her to grow further apart from Maya.  She finds drugs in Maya's backpack and calls her parents to be sent away to a rehabilitation center.

RESPONSE: I think that it is terrible that Emily's mother is trying to get rid of Maya. Emily has finally figured out who she is and she enjoys being with Maya. If someone decided to be a lesbian, I think that the parent's should accept the fact that their daughter is different. Its rude to make your daughter's life miserable just because you don't like who she is dating. It shouldn't matter if your daughter is lesbian or not, you should still be there as a parent. You should care and love your daughter the same in any situation.
